2006, as a transfer school student in the middle age of 15,Not many friends S has. New and fresh, wanting to start a new life, with a change of new personality too. A once rebel wanna-be foul mouth girl, turn 180 to being a quiet, innocent looking observer. First time she met him, was the first few days when school started. She walked pass , by the bicycle shed towards the school gates waiting for her transport . There she saw him. With tiny eyes, hair flying high , thin and sharp jawed line. She finds him rather macho, the cool bad boy look that every girl her age would drop dead to their knees for. M keeps staring at her as she walks by. In his mind probably wondering” this girl doesn't seem like she’s from here”


But the boy had a girl beside him. His girlfriend at that time. She dint bother much, kept walking out thinking "oh well he is just another nice looking face to look at sometimes. Not her cup of tea though".. In her heart at that time, it was still achy, aching from the past of someone who hurt her feelings by toying with it. She wasn’t ready for any relationships. Just wanting to adjust to this new school , new life. M’s gf at that time was S’s classmate, because they hung out, so S got to knew M personally too. Numbers were exchanged, M text-ed her , flirting saying she was like a teddy bear to him, nice to hug. That time , M just broke up with his gf . So M flirted, She felt mesmerized but played along, dint want anything serious. M asked her if she would love to be his girlfriend. S with her consultation from her bestie, decided to agree to him. It was awkward. Both felt weird being acknowledged as a couple. So they decide to call it quiets and pretended it never happen. Both agreed. They both went back to school like nothing happened.
Everyday after class, S would have to wait for transport at the bus stop outside her school. She would wait along for her seniors to finish class only then the her transporter would come to pick all of them together at once. When the seniors finished their class, she was the few left sitting waiting at the bus stop alone. M and his bunch of friends, who are whacky and funny in nature would come and tease her and play with her.Boy, had this fond of taking off her school shoe, and tossing it into the middle of the road, leaving her 1 sided shoe-less hopping around. I guessed Boy liked watching her hop around shoe-less  with pony tail tied up, He finds she looks cute that way and thus it became a routine basis of throwing shoe. Somehow S played along and sort of enjoy his teasing.


M was on and off with his gf at that time. Whenever he had problems , family, relationship or just small chats , M would find S. M liked chatting with S so much, that M actually made S his pet sister . Back then pet sisters were a fake sister which u would treat as a younger sister to take care or just to get close to. In those days, there were no iphones, the only electronic gadgets there were,  colored screen  hand phones. With 1 sen sms each sent to him, they both could chat to about 100 smses daily. The hand phone buzzed continuously throughout the day. She enjoyed listening to Boy’s problems and giving advice. But She never really thought of him as a boyfriend material.


Things went by and M graduated from secondary school and moved on to college. S continued her studies. She grew tired of listening to M’s problems because whenever M finds S, he would greet her with a msn sad face. It wasn;’t very inviting to start a conversation with a sad face . So She told him off about it and somehow M understood, and from then onward they did not find each other. She dint bother much, led her life. 2 yrs went by She graduated from secondary school. M contacted S again. This time no more sad face. A proper Hello instead ! She then cached up with him on how is his life now, what is he doing, small chats and so on. S just treated him as normal friend, because of their duration of not staying in contact for so long, they just lost touch with each other. M invited S out for a drink with his bunch of whacky friends. They met up again face to face. It was a little awkward. S notices M smoking , but she doesn’t really care much because She wouldn't consider Him as her boyfriend. Plus she had a love interest , She always had a love crush on people who doesn’t have the same heart for her. She also had admirers whom She wouldn't wanna accept because she was set on for the guy she wants. She chooses her man. Picky indeed! But she wanted to find the perfect one, so she felt its better she makes a guy she likes fall for her instead of choosing those who wants her but she does not want.


With few more times of outing though not often, S and M became close again, M would share whom he likes at the moment stories to S, She would also do the same . They were close again as close friends &; that was it. Maybe M thought of going after S during some point, but She was not interested or did not think too much of it. M has always been there for her as her guy best friend,&she could tell anything to him, literally ANYTHING! They hang out a lot ,and they even helped each other on their college projects. M always flirts with S, saying how nice if She was his gf, she would be so perfect. An independent girl, with responsibilities , confident about herself in someways, seem to always have a positive mindset to things. M felt she was a miss independent and that made him very interested in her. But M felt he was not good enough for her, he felt she could do so many things on her own, what can I offer her? Though he flirts with S jokingly every time asking S to be his gf, She always turns down his offer thinking he is just fooling around. But little did she know that he was half serious and just testing the waters.
 M owed S a favour because She helped him few times on his project.



The 1 fine day came when S asked him for help to install lightings for her project. She went to M’s house, She did not feel awkward because She was used to being around guys most of the time, so this was not new to her. She stayed in his room , alone , just both of them. For S , it did not feel awkward, because he dint think of him as a love interest, and she trusted him A LOT!. But M, had jitters, because She is still a girl, being alone in the room with a girl, is something new for Him. He was afraid he could not control himself and would pounce on her. But in the end M remained professional and just chit chatted with her all the way. From that 2 nights at M’s place, M got to know S pretty well. Things started to spark between the two. Maybe it was due to spending too much alone time together that made things sparks, or it was the both of them feeling so comfortable with each other with no make up , in house clothes .
From there, M found the courage to really go after her .M found that though she appears to be strong and independent on the outside, inside she is actually weak and literally lacking of somebody to give her love and care. So M still continues to tease her asking She to be his girlfriend, She keeps rejecting him , thinking he is fooling around because he had a past of liking to flirt with girls.




She knows she has little feelings for Him too. But She does not wanna give in to that feeling, because she also liked another guy too at that time and she felt that that guy was more worth the try than going for Him who had a past with S’s classmate and S’s classmates used to dislike Him for the playboy personality he had for dumping S’s classmate during secondary school. She had a policy, a no dating friend’s ex policy. So it was forbidden, she tries to put out the feelings for him. She was thinking, M would probably not continue chasing her after 4 months of unsuccessful chasing , Boy might grow tired of the no response from She. But She thought wrong, M persevered till 1 Year  of chasing. She felt bad, she dint want to play on his feelings, lead him to think that they got a chance, She saw M’s sad face one night when M sent her to her car after their coffee session. He walked to his car in a disappointed manner. So She decided to tell him the truth about how she felt bout him,but how they could not be together. She then was curious, what did M liked about her so much that he is not willing to let go? She asked Him, M then said S was a perfect girl to him , humble, independent, positive minded and not clingy is what that attracted him, plus he felt that though she is so independent ,she would need someone to pamper her, and he would wanna be the one to pamper her and treat her like she is the princess ! She was touched! No one ever ever said she should be pampered, most guys think of her personality as an advantage for them if she becomes their wife next time to just cook and clean , the perfect daughter- in law attributes. M never saw her that way, he never wanted her to be those, he wanted to treat her like if she were a princess, give her all the best, shower her with love, let her not suffer.



It won her heart.! She was still hesitant though with the fact of breaking her no dating ex policy and afraid her friends might hate her too for liking someone whom they disliked. M told her , they could just try out first, give it a shot, on both of them. See how things go from there. She wanted to remain low bout their relationship, wanted to be like friends with benefits, without the sleeping together scene, but with all the benefits of a couple just that they stick as friends. M was not so happy with this term, he made a new term, saying they could try as a couple, but not announce to anyone first. Till she is ready to let the world know about them.



1^st month went by pretty fast, they loved each other’s company as a couple, it was awkward at first, from your best friend, to calling someone dear, it needed some getting used to. Plus She wasn’t in love for many many years, she forgot how it was like to love, she dint really know how to express her love to him, but she was working on it, M was being understanding too.



Soon, she gained her courage and told her friend about their relationship, and to her surprise, they actually congratulated her!!! She was happy to the max, living with worry daily that her friends would hate her for being with him, she finally could let that big rock down. What a relief , she said.


From there onwards, She’s love towards M grew daily, it grew bigger and bigger and she finally saw that he was the right one for her, he really understood her, he knew when she was moody, when she needed to be loved and sweet talk. Only he knows how to love her and make her feel like she is special.
 Because They only meet once a week, all arguments or misunderstanding must be resolved on the same day, if they decide to hold on to their grudges, they will miss the chance to see each other  for that week. S couldn't afford to miss the chance of nt seeing him fr 1 whole week over a silly argument, so she would  go soft after an argument and ask him to forgive her.Although most of the time, its always M is the one  who always gives in first . * To him, if no one gives in there will be no end to this, even though is not my fault * truly a gentleman =)


To date, every month that goes by is a blessing for them, a milestone towards the next step, and to be thankful that they did not mention once bout break ups whenever they arguied, they sorted things out on the spot, although it hurt them to say it out, but after saying those things out, they understood each other more. M once  met a girl whom had dumped him and played on his feelings .Mind you, that girl is not the "S" in this story . That time was a low point in Boy’s life, He was afraid of girls, did not know which girl to trust anymore, but then He felt the most comfortable with S, and  had also fallen for her, so he knew that he could trust her and she would be the one for him.
